Ed Bauchiero is an avid fly fisherman and conservationist who spent the last 30 years exploring angling destinations at home and abroad. What started out as simply planning a few fishing trips for fellow Trout Unlimited chapter members turned into a part-time endeavor coordinating several group angling adventures each year. Ed has explored fishing in such places as Alaska, The Bahamas, Belize, British Columbia, Labrador, Montana, Mongolia, Idaho, Ireland, the Seychelles, and Mexico. Along the way, he has learned a great deal about planning and coordinating group fishing adventures – some accomplished by careful research and some by trial-and-error! Ed will share what he has learned including tips on how to plan a successful fishing trip to a new destination and common pitfalls to avoid, all while providing examples of rewarding fishing destinations including some locations appropriate for both the angler and their non-angling partner. Fishing trips are an investment of time, effort, and finances. Proper planning helps ensure all the investment is worth it.
Ed is active in Trout Unlimited where he has served on the Board of Directors of the Pioneer Valley Chapter (Western Massachusetts) for 20 years and is a past president of that Chapter. He currently operates Reel Destinations, Fly Fishing Adventures.
