Ben Nugent will be presenting information about the fisheries management activities for the Lakes Region area of New Hampshire through a typical year. These efforts consist of a variety of different surveys which help support angling opportunities for several cold and warm water fish species. Biologists rely on seasonal fish behavior patterns and use a combination of modern and long tested sampling techniques to monitor populations so that stocking rates are balanced with forage fish and other specific lake characteristics.
Ben has been a fisheries biologist for close to 20 years and has partnered with the Chapter in the Warner River Watershed Conservation Project.
