The first call for volunteer help will be an opportunity to assist with replanting the construction area disturbed during a culvert replacement project in Warner. The Merrimack River Watershed Council will be coordinating this effort and supplying various plants and equipment for this event requiring about nine volunteers on the morning of Saturday, April 26. Participants are asked to meet at the Red Chimney Rd culvert in Warner at 9am. This event is estimated to last around three hours if we meet our goal for volunteer participant numbers. The attached map shows the meeting location. Volunteers are asked to bring work gloves and rubber boots. All other equipment will be provided.
Please reach out to Greg Swick (justswick@gmail.com) to confirm that you are able to attend this planting project. Greg will maintain a list of volunteers who sign up in case there’s a need to cancel due to weather. A tentative rain date is scheduled for April 27.
As always, thank you for your volunteer support. We anticipate this day will be a good experience for the volunteers, fish, and water quality.
